Parichay Foundation organised one day cricket match for visually challenged youths


Bhubaneswar: Parichay Foundation, which has always advocated for inclusion in all fields of social work, had organised a one-of-its-kind one day cricket match for visually challenged youths in association with Patia grama mangala samiti at Kanak Durga Field ,Patia (bhubaneswar) on 1st April.

The match was conducted between two teams of Bhadrak and Balasore, both of which have been playing the game since 1998.

All players, who are visually challenged since birth, are an inspiration to the society. As good as players of any district-level team, these visually challenged participants show a strength that can motivate anyone facing a similar situation.

“The whole idea of organising the match is to encourage the players and salute their fighting spirit. Parichay considers it a great honour by conducting such a sport event for the first time,said founder Parichay, Rosalin patasani mishra.

It may be noted here that Parichay has already awarded Jafar Iqbal(Captain,odisha’s blind cricket team)for its first edition of Shrie Awards held in 2016.
