Dubai: Group of Eight girls from Odia diaspora in the UAE performed Odissi dance at the India Pavilion in Global Village in Dubai. The students of “Tapasya Dancers” Akshita Satapathy, Anchal Parida, Anisha Lenka, Ashwina Boxi, Prachi Bhayani, Prathna Pratap Singh, Rupal Mohapatra & Tamanna Rath mentored by Guru Rashmi Raj performed “Mahisha Mardhini Odissi Dance Abhinaya” in the form of Odissi dance. The Odia girls had a platform like Global Village to showcase their talent and promote our rich culture of Odisha.

According to Guru Rashmi Raj, it is great feeling to have the kids perform Odissi dance and showcase the rich culture of our native land, at the world’s leading family cultural platform. It was an honour for the kids as the diversed audience were mesmerized by the performance and the appreciation poured in by the audience and the organisers.
