Odisha: Valedictory function of Skill Development Training Programmes held

Bhubaneswar: The valedictory function of Skill Development Training Programmes organised by Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, Odisha, Bhubaneswar (IEDO) was held in the Conference Hall of IEDO. The programme was sponsored by Odisha Skill Development Authority and was inaugurated by Sri L. N. Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, MSME Department. As many as 160 trainees have undergone training in 4 different trades such as Logistic Management Associate, Supply Management Associate, Export Documentation and Procedure and Entrepreneurship and Export Management.
Attending the function as Chief Guest, Shri Rajesh Pravakar Patil, Director Employment & CEO, Odisha Skill Development Authority underlined the need for entrepreneurial development in the state. He advised that hard work and meticulousness for maintenance of high standard of quality are essential for success in any entrepreneurial activity.

The Chief Executive Officer of IED Odisha, Mr. Samarendra Sahu mentioned that, the Institute has evolved a vibrant eco-system for promotion of entrepreneurship with the establishment of Livelihood Business Incubator, Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre apart from providing skill training for entrepreneurship development across length and breadth of the state. He also added that CFTI Agra has partnered with the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development Odisha (IEDO) and opened up a Footwear Training Centre in IEDO campus. Two courses such as; one year Advance Certificate Course and six months Certificate Course in Footwear Design and Production Training would start from February 2018. Mr. B.B. Dhal, Additional Director of Industries Odisha, Mr. B.B. Mishra principal IEDO, Mr. M.K. Sahu, Course Director of Skill Training also spoke on the occasion.

At the end, Sri S.K. Mohanty, Vice Principal, IEDO proposed vote of thanks. Certificates to the successful trainees were also distributed.
