Bhubaneswar: The Minister for Odia Language, Literature & Culture Mr. Jyotiprakash Panigrahi felicitated Padma Awardee Sand Artist Mr. Sudarshan Pattnaik
today in his Assembly Chamber for his outstanding achievement on winning of ‘People’s Choice Award’ in the Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting
Festival-2019, Boston, Massachusetts. On behalf of State Government, the Culture Department, felicitated him. Mr. Pattnaik had made his sculpture on
the theme of ‘Stop Plastic Pollution: Save our Ocean’.
While interactive with Hon’ble Minister, Mr Pattnaik said, ‘It is a big award for me. Top 15 sand artists from 8 countries like USA, Canada, Belgium, Russia, Holland, France and others had participated in the festival. Lakhs of people have visited the festival. As ‘People’s Choice Award’ is by the people, those who have voted me, they have ultimately voted for the theme. In this felicitating occasion Director, Culture Mr. Bijoy Kumar Nayak, Spl. Secretary Dr. Ramakrushna Sahoo and Jt. Secretary of the Department Mrs. Manaswini Sahoo and other officials were present.
