Bhubaneswar: The State Water Testing Laboratory, RWSS(O), Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar under Rural Water Supply & Sanitation organisation (RWSS) has recently received NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) Accreditation for Competency in testing for 14 parameters in the field of testing.
The State Water Testing Laboratory of RWSS under Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department of Govt. of Odisha is functioning in the 2nd floor of the o/o S.E. RWSS Circle, Tapovan, Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar since last 2 years. Being the first Government Laboratory under the State Government which has got this recognition is because of the tests performed here are according to standards set under ISO/IEC-17025:2005.
The main objective of this laboratory is to test drinking water samples of tubewells and Piped Water Supply (PWS) schemes of the Government in rural areas coming from different district for Physical, Chemical, Bacteriological & Heavy metal content in drinking water.
