Bhubaneswar: Today, Secretary-cum-Commissioner, Vishal. K.Deb, visited Kalinga Stadium and extended his best wishes to I-league team, Indian Arrows, which comprises of India’s U-19 players and is supported by the Govt. of Odisha. The team is travelling to St. Petersburg, Russia on 3rd June 2019 to participate in the XXXI Granatkin Memorial International Football Tournament. It is held in memory of FIFA’s First Vice-President Valentin Granatkin.
A total of 12 national teams with players born on or after 1st Jan 2001 will be participating in this tournament. The Indian team will compete in 5 matches in the tournament (3 group matches + 2 playoffs). India will compete with Russia, Moldova and Bulgaria in the group stages.
