Cuttack: Today there was a new wave of enthusiasm among the cycling enthusiasts of Cuttack with opening of the first-ever concept bicycle store in the Silver City. 22 Bikes, which is renowned for its concept cycle store in Bhubaneswar, has expanded its presence in Cuttack. With the new cycle store near Durga Puja Mandap, Khan Nagar, 22 Bikes brings a range of high-end bicycles with complete range of accessories and service support to this historic town, from where Biju Babu once started his Historic Cycle Journey to Peshawar.
Inaugurated by Hon. MP, Sj. Siddhant Mohapatra, a renowned figure in Odia Film Industry and a cycling enthusiast, in august presence of IPS Sanjeeb Panda, President – Bhubaneswar Cycling and Adventure Club (BCAC), this concept bicycle store is now open for public on all days of the year including Sundays and holidays. Many dignitaries, cyclists and local Murabi (eminent persons) from Cuttack were also present during the inauguration ceremony.

“We were eagerly waiting for such a bicycle store in Cuttack. Although, there are many cycle stores in Cuttack, but 22 Bikes makes a difference through its presence. Such a concept cycle store not only offers a message to popularize cycling culture in the City, but also helps in extending ranges of service to the local cyclists and fitness enthusiasts. Previously we have to go to Bhubaneswar to get our high-end cycles repaired by trained and experienced mechanics. 22 Bikes brings us a good range of cycles from international brands.” – says Sajal Seth, a cyclist, traveler and a photographer from Cuttack.
Speaking about his new venture, Ajay Nanda, the owner of 22 Bikes and an avid cyclist said,- “There are limited choices for the cycling lovers and fitness enthusiasts of Cuttack for good range of bicycles. They have to depend on cycle stores in Bhubaneswar to purchase high-end bicycles. We bring international brands like Raleigh, Scott, Fuji, Giant, Merida, Lapierre, Ghost, etc. along with Indian brands like Suncross etc. We hope 22 Bikes will bring a new opportunity for the cycle-loving people of Cuttack with its new store. We will also act as meeting point for cyclists of Cuttack promoting cycling culture. We hope with our presence, now Cuttack cyclists will find a better range of products and high-end bicycles along with its complete service support.”
On this occasion, Twenty (20) cyclists made a road show with different types of bicycles such as Road Bikes, Hybrid bikes, Fat Bike, Mountain Bike and a general non-geared bike. Mr. Imtiaz became the first customer of the store with his brand new Scott Aspect 665i.
