Odisha: Lawyers, deed writers protest on cashless registration

Report by Basant Rath, Nabarangpur: Lawyers and deed writers locked the district sub-registrar office of Nabarangpur on Tuesday later they submitted memorandum to Chief
Minister and Revenue Minister through Sub-Collector to demand a minimum limit on the amount on stamp duty. They were protesting against the cashless registration of land purchase and sale as well as other services as implemented by Odisha Revenue Department.

Senior AdvocateJhadeswar Khadanga, said the State Govt has been implementing the cashless transaction is riddled in problems. Suppose, a person seeks to apply for EC, CC and suppose one applies for a document and the fine amount how it would be transacted. Hope, Govt will definitely pay heed to it and amend accordingly, also let the
govt decide a cash limit slab for the convenience of the general public.

He further claims for alternate arrangement for Kodinga sub-registrar office, under Kosagumuda block in which neither treasury or nationalized bank.
