New Delhi: Odisha has been participating at the 2nd edition of “Indus Food” the Largest F&B Trade Fair at India Exposition Mart Ltd, Greater Noida during 14-15 January, as a “Partner State” along with 30 food based MEME units from different parts of Odisha. This mega annual food processing sector exhibition Cum Reverse Buyers-Sellers meet is being organised by Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) and Commerce Ministry of Govt. of India.
The Odisha delegation led by Shri L N Gupta, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, MSME Deptt , (G2G) meetings with four countries viz. Vietnam , UAE, Iraq and Bangladesh and offered the potential investment and trade opportunities with Odisha in items like rice, maize, fruits, vegetables, spices, marine products etc. He also invited the delegates of these countries to come and take part in MSME Trade Fare scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar during 28 January to 3rd of February 2019.
Mr. Gupta also held a discussion with the Vietnamese Ambassador to India Mr. Pham Sanh Chau in regard to possibilities of Investment & Trade by Vietnam in Odisha in the food processing sectors as a whole and with specific reference to marine sector.
The exhibitor entrepreneurs from Odisha also engaged in number of Business to Business meetings with entrepreneurs coming from various parts of the world in the food processing sector. The entrepreneurs from 70 different countries have been participating as buyers in the mega event.Anmol Industries Limited, Prime Agro Food Processing Pvt.
