Odisha Grabs The Opportunity To Host 3rd International Go-Navratri Mahotsav

Bhubaneswar: The International Go-Navratri Mahotsav that is known for spreading awareness and developing consciousness about the sacred indigenous Go-Mata among the believers & non-believers across the globe is going to take place at Puri, Odisha for the 1st time. As per a Press Conference by the International Go-Navratri Mahotsav Samiti, one of the revered saints of the country, Pujya Paramahamsa Prajnananandaji Maharaj (popularly known as Guruji), Spiritual Head, Kriya Yoga International, Puri, along with other members of the committee briefed the press about the 3rd edition of the Mahotsav, which is going to be held from 20th-28th October, 2017 at Sharadhabali, Jagannath Dham, Puri.
Addressing the press, Paramahamsa Prajnanananda Maharaj said, “The International Go-Navratri Mahotsav 2017 is going to be held for the first time in Odisha and around 1000 saints from all over the country and abroad will participate in the 9 day Mahotsav. In the Mahotsav people will be enlightened about the importance of the indigenous Go-Mata by organising Go-Bhagawat Katha from 9:30am to 12:30 pm everyday. He further said 5 jagyans will also be conducted like Suravi Mahamantra Samuhika japa jagyan, Suravi ghruta Jagyan, nama jagyan, gyana jagyan and Arna Jagyan.”
Previously held in Vrindaban and Pathmeda, Pujya Paramahamsa Prajnananandaji Maharaj has been the architecture to the previous Mahotsav’s and for this year, the saint has already taken major steps to promote awareness among the people of Odisha, about the International Go-Navratri Mahotsav which aims at protection of the cattle community from illegal means of slaughtering. Statistics say the cattle population in pre-independence India was almost 100 crores which has dwindled to an unbelievable low level of population less than 10 crores due to slaughtering of these animals.
A huge mass gathering is expected for the Go-Navratri Mahotsav at Puri. To enlighten this gathering more about the importance of Go-Mata, workshops on regular basis will be conducted where eminent scientists will discuss about the various aspects of Go-Mata like Panchagavya chikitsa se sharir, Govansh ke mukhya rog, Govansh me rogon ki janch, Gaushala me bimari par niyantran and various others along with Go-Pujan & Arti and public meetings in the evening. In the Mahotsav Mukhya Margadarshak, Parama Pujyapada Srimad Jagadguru Shankaracharya, Swami Sri Nischalananda Saraswati Maharaj, Sri Govardhan Peetha, Puri, will inaugurate the Mahotsav.
Pujya Paramahamsa Prajnananandaji Maharaj, the President of the International Go-Navratri Mahotsav Samiti along with 30 revererd saints of the country in the presence of 650 social workers from 29 districts organised State level Go-Pujan programs at Puri on 20th August followed by district level Go-pujan in all 30 districts. Thousands of villagers were enlightened about the importance of the Mahotsav through the Go-Pujans. The involvement of Prajnananandaji Maharaj in the Go-Pujans has been a motivating factor for the villagers who have guaranteed their participation at the Mahotsav in Puri.
