Odisha Govt to start work on building of Disaster Resilient Power Infrastructure in coastal districts

Bhubaneswar: In a high level meeting held under the Chairmanship of Sri Asit Tripathy, Chief Secretary, it has been decided to start work on building of Disaster Resilient Power Infrastructure in coastal districts of the State. 9 districts namely Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Balasore, Puri, Cuttack, Khurda, Ganjam and Gajapati will be covered in 2 phases with an estimate of around Rs. 19,000 Crore. Chief Secretary directed the concerned Departments and Power Distribution Companies to expedite the implementation on emergency basis.
Sri S.C. Mohapatra, Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary, Sri P.K. Jena, Additional Chief Secretary and SRC, Sri N.B. Dhal, Principal Secretary, Energy, Sri A. K. Meena, Principal Secretary, Finance and
Dr. Sourav Garg, Principal Secretary, Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment participated in the meeting.
