Bhubaneswar: Grishma Utsav 2018 organized by Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department , Odisha Sangeeta Nataka Akademi ; Odisha Tourism and Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation ( BMC) is inaugurated in the presence of Shri Prafulla Samal , Hon’ble Minister , W & CD and Mission Shakti , SS & EPD , MS & ME.
The chief guest of the evening was Shri Ashok Chandra Panda, Minister Tourism, Odia Language, and Literature & Culture. The evening was more enlighten with the Guest of Honor- Dr. Prasanna Kumar Patasani , Hon’ble MP, Bhubaneswar ; Shri Debi Prasad Mishra, Hon’ble MLA, Bhubaneswar ; Shri Bijay Kumar Mohanty , Hon’ble MLA , Bhubaneswar ( Central) ; Shri Priyadarshi Mishra , Hon’ble MLA, Bhubaneswar ( North) ; Shri Manoranjan Panigrahy , IRS ; Commissioner Cum Secretary, Odia Language , Literature & Cultural Department ; Shri Bijaya Kumar Nayak , IAS ; Director , Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department and Dr. Bijaya Kumar Jena , Secretary, Odisha Sangeeta Nataka Akademi.
The three days festival will witness food stalls and ORMAS (Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society) which creates different marketing channels for the micro enterprise rural producers to develop sustainable livelihood through adopting appropriate rural technology, product development.
The main attraction of the event was the cultural performance of Ollywood singing sensation Ira Mohanty whose performance gave a melodious atmosphere to the evening. Even the Odissi group of Odisha Dance Academy, one of the premier cultural institutions of Orissa, runs under the guidance of Guru Aruna Mohanty, a renowned educator, performer and choreographer of Odissi dance performed.
