13 Odisha natives are among hundreds still at Tabligh-e-Jamaat headquarters in New Delhi, which has turned a hotbed of #COVID19 transmission. Two of these Odisha natives were shifted to hospital on Monday after suspected symptoms. Tablighi Jamaat those from Odisha still at Jamaat hq in Delhi include 9 from Khurda, 2 from Cuttack, one each from Puri and Koraput, age group 22 to 60.
COVID19 positive cases are stable at 3 in #Odisha because of the heightened awareness & the sacrifices made by the people of the State informed Bagchi. Of the 473 test results received, OVID19 positive cases are stable at 3; so far 11,575 persons, including 4,304, who returned from abroad, have registered on self-declaration portal for home-quarantine informed Bagchi. Puri’s population density is comparable to New York city & Jeypore has a density comparable to Rome; we cannot be complacent because we just have 3 COVID19 positive cases; if not careful, it will spin out of control informed Bagchi.
COVID19 testing begins in Cuttack SCB Hospital today, making it third such facility in #Odisha after RMRC & AIIMS. Govt is taking expeditious steps to start test units at another two medical colleges: State Health & Family Welfare dept.
