Odisha govt hikes salary of Anganwadi workers,  Anganwadi Workers’  continued to stage protest

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government hikes salary of Anganwadi workers to Rs 6,000 per month, salary of mini Anganwadi workers to Rs 4,125.  Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik  announces hike in salary of Anganwadi workers; wishes Diwali to all.

According to CM Patnaik’s declaration, the Anganwadi workers will now get Rs 6000 per month while Mini Anganwadi workers will draw Rs 4125 and the helpers will get Rs 3000.

It should be noted that one group of the women activists called off their stir while another group continuing the dharna at the Lower PMG here.  The group linked with the ruling BJD’s trade union Biju Shramik Samukhya ended its strike after a meeting with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik headed by BJD leader Subash Singh. The other group continued to stage the protest at the Lower PMG.
