Odisha Govt collected a total of commercial tax of Rs12,946.30 crore by February end

Bhubaneswar: The State Government collected a total of commercial tax of Rs12,946.30 crore by February end against the Rs1,5979.81 crore targeted for the current financial year, 2016-17. This was informed by the Finance Minister Pradip Kumar Amat informed this in the Assembly.
Minister Amat said this in response to a question of Congress MLA Kailash Kulesika on Monday. While the commercial tax collected so far is 81 per cent of the current years’ targeted amount, it is Rs419.49 crore more than the amount collected during the corresponding period of the last year, the Minister said.
