Bhubaneswar: The School and Mass Education Department on Saturday announced that all schools in the State would remain closed on Monday in view of the Bharat Bandh call given by the Congress over the skyrocketing fuel prices.
In a letter to all district collectors, School and Mass Education Department Principal Secretary Pradip Kumar Mohapatra has asked the officials to ensure that all school would remain closed during the bandh to ensure the safety of the students.
Earlier, home department special secretary Santosh Bala had directed the district collectors to take all preventive measures to maintain law and order and to ensure maintenance of essential services in the districts during the observation of bandh.
