Odisha govt allows home isolation for asymptotic & mild symptomatic Covid 19 patients with certain health protocols

Bhubaneswar: Odisha govt allows home isolation for asymptotic & mild symptomatic  Covid 19 patients with compliance to certain health protocols. Facilities will be available in all 114 urban local bodies, district headquarters, sub-divisional headquarters & block headquarters in the first phase. This is informed by the Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy.

Tripathy said that keeping in view the request of many Organisations/Institutions and Corporate Houses for allowing Institutional Isolation of their members/personnel in their own facilities for mild and asymptomatic positive cases, Government has allowed them for such facilities, with strict adherence of guidelines issued by Health & Family Welfare Department. Besides, Home Isolation and Home Care are allowed for mild and asymptomatic patients in view of their psychological and physical well-being.
 All COVID-19 positive cases, who are asymptomatic/have mild symptoms in Urban areas, District/Sub-division/Block Headquarter towns are allowed Home Isolation. They have to follow all protocols laid out by Health & Family Welfare Department.
 The following organisations/institutions are advised to create Covid Care Home and Covid Care Centre to accommodate COVID-19 positive persons belonging to their establishments.
i. All Municipal Corporations
ii. Bhubaneswar and Jharsuguda Airports
iii. East Coast Railways at their different centres
iv. Paradeep, Dhamra and Gopalpur Ports
v. Central and State PSUs operating in Odisha, with their own Township/Colonies with adequate facilities
vi. Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) set ups in Odisha
vii. Odisha Police, Odisha Fire Services, Directorate of Prisons
viii. Central Institutes, Universities and Deemed Universities-both in Government and Private Sector
ix. Religious bodies/places such as Temples, Mosques, Churches, Gurudwars etc.
x. Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs)
xi. Any other interested NGOs, CSOs and Corporate-both in Government and Private Sector.

 Above Organisations will be allowed to set up the facilities of Covid Care Homes and Covid Care Centres as per the guideline of Health & Family Welfare Department.
 The COVID-19 Isolation facilities created by State Government will be primarily used for housing those COVID-19 suspect/positive cases who do not have the infrastructure for Home Isolation and otherwise not accommodated in the CCCs/CCHs indicated above.
 Any person who is under home isolation and develops severe/serious symptom/faces deterioration in health shall follow protocols of Department of Health & Family Welfare Department.
