Report by Kanhu Nanda; Jagatsinghpur: Odisha Governor Professor Ganeshi Lal inaugurated 21th edition of Jagatsinghpur Book fair at collector office parade ground on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion Governor Professor Lal said that there are four types of books are prevailing across globe classified as Management, Relationship, Quality leadership and Self-transformation.
Fascinatingly all these four categories books available in India are best in world. Describing these classification books governor Prof Lal informed Mahabharat is the best books speaking about management of governance, Ramayan says about the Relationship to maintain among Human beings, Chanakya is being accorded as quality leader of India, transformation of knowledge any one can get from Rusi Baisistha who was Guru of lord Rama.
Gita from Mahabhart self-uttering versions of lord Srikrushna is an antidote of all crises, problems and complications, so he appealed attending gathering to search these four types of books in the fair and try to read, Governor Prof Lal said.
Governor too revealed that Mahatma Gandhi was the man of century, he showed the path of truth, peace and non violence because of his wide reading habit of books including Gita, Quran and Bible, so students and youth should follow Mahatma Gandhi and his books loving attitude.
Speaking on the occasion state water resources and I&PR minister Raghunandan Das said we are in the midst of ocean of books in book fair, this Mahakumbha of books is filled with thoughts, the thoughts which give power to humanity. This book fair is a place where people meet each other, generate and share new thoughts and ideas, books help human being to come across new thoughts, minister Das added.
Among others MP Dr Rajashree Mallick, MLAs Prasanta Muduli, Sambit Routray were spoke on the occasion. District collector cum Sanskrutika Parishad chairman S K Mohapatra presided the inaugural function. Governor Prof Lal also inaugurated book fair souvenir Smruti Patra and a book Sundaragarh dairy written by collector Mohapatra.
