Bhubaneswar: Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal has expressed his deepest condolences over the loss of lives following landslide in Gajapati distirct describing the tragic incident as unfortunate. He urged upon to expedite relief operation and assistance to Titli cyclone and flood victims.
Severe floods resulting from heavy rainfall post cyclonic storm Titli have wrecked the State of Odisha, causing casualties, loss of property and homelessness. Along with restoring supply of drinking water, road connectivity and restoration of power supply that are among the immediate concerns, there is also an urgent need to closely monitor the situation to avert outbreak of any water borne diseases by the health department, said Governor.
Governor asked all concerned departments to work in coordination with each other at this time of crisis and take every step to mitigate untold miseries suffered by people in flood affected areas and for bringing normalcy in all these areas.
