Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government sanctioned ₹7 crore for installing a light and sound show at the Maa Samaleswari temple in Sambalpur. Maa Samaleswari is the presiding deity of Sambalpur and amongst the most revered deities in the state.
The famous shrine will be embellished with a state-of-the-art light and sound show that will showcase the legendry tale of Maa Samaleswari and the history of the temple,and the rich cultural heritage of Sambalpur and Western Odisha. It will give a huge boost to tourism in the region.
CM Naveen Patnaik directed officials to ensure completion of the works within this current year 2017-18. Maa Samaleswari temple will soon join the elite list of monuments and locations with light and sound shows such as Puri, Konark and Dhauli and become a frontline tourist attraction of Odisha.
