Bhubaneswar: In a big step, Odisha government has enhanced the cost of dietary charges from Rs 64to Rs 80 for each prisoner per day.
The Directorate of Prisons last year had moved the State government seeking funds for night refreshments for prisoners by enhancing their dietary allowance. The last time the diet cost was revised from Rs 60 to Rs 64 per day was in 2015.
