Bhubaneswar: With the support of Aditya Birla Group Company Hindalco Hirakud, the Hirakud Town Hall shall be built up for which the foundation stone was laid by the Sambalpur MLA Dr Raseswari Panigrahi, Collector Mr Samarth Verma and the Head of Hindalco Hirakud Complex, Mr Rajesh Gupta on 16th August at Hirakud. This noble initiative of Hindalco has got huge applause from the distinguished Guests present in the august gathering. Addressing the gathering, Mr Rajesh Gupta said that Hindalco is always committed for the development of the Hirakud region and many initiatives have been taken in this regard and this initiative is one of them. Our company will accelerate these type of welfare activities in the days to come, Mr Gupta added. This foundation stone laying ceremony was presided over by the Commissioner of Sambalpur Municipal Corporation MrBimalendu Roy. Among others the IAS probationary Mr DebaJyoti Parida, Special Land Acquisition Officer Mr Sitanshu Tripathy, the Smelter Plant Head of Hindalco Mr J P Nayak, HR Head MrNirmal Sinha, FRP Head Mr Sandeep Roy, the Power Plant Head Mr Arun Poddar were present.
Also on the same day, One Drinking Water Kiosk built by Hindalco was inaugurated by the MLA Dr Raseswari Panigrahi and Mr Rajesh Gupta near Santoshi Maa Temple at Hirakud. Both the occasions were organized successfully by the employees of Sambalpur Municipal Corporation and the CSR Deptt. of Hindalco which witnessed the presence of the local people and intelligentsia of the region.
