Balasore: Dreaded Gangster Hyder dies following an encounter in Balasore. Gangster Hyder succumbs to bullet injuries while undergoing treatment in Balasore hospital. Earlier Dreaded gangster Sheikh Haider was injured in a police encounter while being shifted from Choudwar jail to Baripada jail. Shifted to hospital in critical condition.
Earlier, Hyder who is a murder convict, had fled from police custody while being treated at SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, in April. He was nabbed from Telangana six days later.
