Malkangiri: Odisha DGP Dr Rajendra Sharma reviews anti-Naxal operations at Malkangiri district police headquarters in the presence of ADG (Operations),Special Intelligence Wing IG & SOG Commandant & other officials. 5 Maoists were killed by security personnel in the district yesterday.
DGP Sharma said that anti-Maoist operations will be intensified in the region in the coming days. Efforts will also be made to ramp up developmental activities in the Swabhiman region. The Papluru encounter was the best operation executed by the Odisha Police till date, he said. “All the Naxals killed in the encounter were professionally trained. Two SLRs and one Insas rifle were recovered from them.”
