Angul: DAV Savitri Jindal High School celebrated its First Annual Day Function with pomp and gaiety. Mr. Dinesh Kumar Saraogi, Executive Director (I/c) and Location Head of JSPL’s Angul unit graced the occasion as Chief-Guest and lighted the lamp.
Mr.Satya Narayan Hota, Headmaster – DAV Savitri Jindal High School presented the Annual Report of the school and elaborated the achievements of students in the field of education and sports.
Addressing the august gathering, Mr.D.K. Saraogi, emphasised upon JSPL’s effort in improving quality of education in and around its operational areas across India. “Establishment of DAV Savitri Jindal High School is a step towards ensuring quality education in villages around JSPL’s Angul plant,” he said. He also expressed his pleasure for the commitment of the teaching staffs of DAV Savitri Jindal High School in shaping the children for a better citizen.
On the occasion, 154 students took part in various cultural program. Students performed dances like Bihu from Assam, Fan dance from Japan, Odisshi, Bhangra, Rajasthani, etc. with Dance Drama on “Kanchi Vijaya” and on “Beti Bachao- Betia Pahhao”.
Chief Guest along with Guest of Honour Mr. Praveen Kumar – Head HR&ES of JSPL, honoured the winners with achievement mementos. Mr. Praveen Kumar appreciated the efforts of students and teachers.
Mrs. Deepti Rekha Dash of DAV Savitri Jindal High School presented the vote of Thanks.
Other distinguished guests present on this occasion were Mr. B.B.Pradhan – AVP- HR&ES, Mr. Chanda Charan Dash- Principal – O.P.Jindal School, Headmaster of Nisha High School Shri Chakradhara Dehury, Headmaster of Raijharan G.P.High School, Mr. Ashutosh Mishra, Ritamoni Borah & Mrs Jasodhara Msihra from CSR Department of JSPL along with Teachers of DAV Savitri Jindal High School – Mrs Ranju, Mrs Arati, Mrs Madhumita, Mrs Smriturani, Mr. Suryakant , Mr Krushnachandra, Mr. Chittaranjan.
