Odisha CM says Damodar Rout remarks on farm loans not correct, Rout takes different stance

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has said that Damodar Rout’s remarks over farmers loans is not correct.
It should be noted that Minister Damodar Rout had said on Wednesday that many defaulters of farm loans are often spending the loan amount on drinking alcohol or towards wedding in the family. However, Chief Minister Patnaik today rubbished the statement and said this is not correct. He further added that the government is considering waiving farm loans.
