Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik sought Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s intervention to expedite pending construction work of National Institute of New Energy & Innovation in Odisha. Key issues raised in the letter:
• State Govt already allocated 73.68 acre of land near IIT Bhubaneswar & identified 1 acre in Bhubaneswar for City Office
• Construction has not been taken up despite grant of advance land possession
Ministry of New & Renewable Energy has issued an order to close down Regional Office at Bhubaneswar with immediate effect which will affect establishment of the prestigious national institute.
