Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over phone and discussed COVID-19 situation in the country. Hon’ble Chief Minister said it is a war-like situation and Odisha will extend all cooperation at the national level including ramping up oxygen production to assist other states in this emergency.

Chief Minister said that obeying the Weekly shutdowns is very essential to prevent Covid infection. “Wear masks regularly and keep yourself away from crowded places without leaving the house if there is no emergency. We can easily avoid situations like Lockdown if we remain aware”, Hon’ble Chief Minister added.

Chief Minister on the occasion of Earth Day said that Mother Earth gives us everything we need. Keeping it cleaner and greener will help lives to thrive and protect us from diseases, including the zoonotic diseases like COVID19, he said. Hon’ble Chief Minister called upon to take pledge to keep our planet healthy and green for a better future for mankind.

Chief Minister expressed grief over the tragic loss of lives due to leak in medical oxygen tanker in Nashik, Maharashtra. Hon’ble Chief Minister condoled the bereaved families in the hour of grief and prayed for the speedy recovery of those who are hospitalised.

Chief Minister expressed grief over the passing away of CPI (M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury’s son Ashish Yechury in COVID-19. Hon’ble Chief Minister condoled the family during this hour of grief and wished the bereaved family to have courage to overcome the irreparable loss.

Chief Minister expressed concern to know that Hon’ble MLA and senior Congress Leader Sri Narasingh Mishra has been detected Covid positive. Hon’ble Chief Minister wished him speedy recovery and good health.
