Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik seeks intervention of PM Modi for early construction of National Institute of New Energy & Innovation

Bhubaneswar: Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik seeks intervention of PM Narendra Modi for early construction of National Institute of New Energy and Innovation. The Odisha govt has provided 73 acre land for construction of the institute; however, the MNRE has not started the construction work yet.

“I am happy to share with you that in renewable energy sector, Govt. of Odisha has taken several initiatives in accordance with the National Development Goals including recent announcement of Odisha Renewable Energy Policy 2016. In order to promote research and innovation in the RE sector, MNRE had decided to set up a National Institute of New Energy and Innovation in Odisha. Government of Odisha has also extended support for establishment of the said Institute and has allocated Acre 73.86 of land free of cost near HT, Bhubaneswar. However, MNRE is yet to take possession of the land and to start construction of the budding,” writes CM Naveen Patnaik in his letter to PM Narendra Modi.
He requested PM Narendra Modi to intervene in the matter so that construction of the National Institute of New Energy and Innovation is started at the earliest.
