Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik launches ‘Ashirbad’ yojna for the children, who lost their parents to Covid19

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched ‘Asheerbad’ scheme for education, maintenance and care of children who lost their parents or key earning member of the family. He directed to give special attention to ensure that not a single helpless child is deprived of the scheme.
Chief Minister said that the child who lost both the father and mother or single parent shall get Rs. 2500/- per month and the child who lost either the principal earning member or mother shall get Rs.1500/- per month through direct bank transfer. In addition, these children have been included in various welfare schemes of the Government, he added.
Chief Minister further said that any caregiver relative of the children, if found eligible for assistance under Government Schemes will be provided with the benefits on priority basis. Hon’ble Chief Minister said that Government is committed to ensure a conducive atmosphere along with all-round development of these children.
