Bhubaneswar:BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated party’s “Jan Sampark Padayatra”, at the Kargil Road under the Ekamra constituency here on the occasion of the Gandhi Jayanti.
CM Patnaik announced the formation of a social service wing of the party at Kargil Basti near Bhimatangi here on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
The Padayatra will continue till November 2. The programme is undertaken by the ruling party every year during this period.Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister had garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the State Assembly premises.
