Cuttack: Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik inaugurates Kathajodi Cuttack-Trishulia bridge named after Netaji Subhash Bose. 3km bridge built in 7 yrs at cost of Rs 114cr .
The bridge is 2.88 km long built on the outskirts of the state capital linking with the silver city, Cuttack, will now reduce the distance between Cuttack and Bhubaneswar by almost 12 kms.

The project was constructed by the Roads and House Development Department at an estimated cost of Rs 114 crore. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Setu, Odisha’s longest road bridge. It will usher in a new era in Twin City links by reducing distance and commuting time for the citizens. It will stand as symbol of our constant efforts towards development of modern infrastructure for growth and progress of the state and our people said CM Naveen Patnaik.


Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Setu connecting Belleview Point near Judicial Academy in Cuttack to Trisulia, is the first three-lane bridge in Odisha. Hyderabad-based construction firm HES Infrastructure Pvt Ltd has been awarded the construction work of the bridge the foundation stone of which was laid by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in February 2011.

At present, it takes more than an hour hour to travel a distance of 30 km between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack via Trisulia and vice-versa. However, after completion of the bridge, the distance reduced to almost half.
