Angul: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik dedicating Odisha’s largest and most modern 6MTPA integrated steel plant at JINDAL STEEL & POWER LIMITED Angul. Chairman Naveen Jindal and OP Jindal Group Chairperson Emeritus Savitri Jindal presented during the inauguration.
The Angul plant would in fact become Odisha’s largest, beating Tata Steel’s 3mtpa in Kalinganagar steel plant. The JSPL has invested Rs 35,000 crore in the Angul plant and has created 50,000 jobs.
Patnaik said the JSPL’s steel plant is a significant milestone and would create enough employment opportunities and help in the State’s progress. Present at the meeting were Steel & Mines Minister Prafulla Mallik, Transport Minister Nrusingha Sahu, the MP and MLAs of the district and JSPL MD Rabi Uppal.
