Bubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to inaugurate Biju Janata Dal Labour Front convention on November 12 at the Unit VII ground here on November 12. This was informed by the president Rajendra Prasad Singh at a Press meet here on Thursday.
About 5,000 representatives from across the State would join the meet. Singh informed that the BJDLF has been registered with the Lahour Department and a decision has been taken to affiliate it to the Hind Mazdoor Sabha.
Singh said the BJDLF would take initiatives to organise workers working in the unorganised sector and bring them the purview of Social Security Act 2008. As many as 1.5 crore people are working in various ungoanised sectors in the State now, he said. Among others, executive president and Minister Prafulla Samal, secretary general Subas Singh and vice-president and Mayor Anant Narayan Jena were present.
