Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik assures full govt. support to NINL

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik assured full support to Kalinga Nagar-based Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL) for the sustainable operation and growth of the Company while in a meeting with the top management of the Company.
Top management of NINL comprising Shri Ved Prakash, CMD, MMTC; Shri S.D. Kapoor, Director, NINL (Ex-CMD, MMTC); Shri D.P. Bagchi, Director, NINL (Ex-Chief Secretary, Govt. of Odisha) and Shri S.S. Mohanty, Vice-Chairman & Managing Director, NINL, met Honb’le Chief Minister of Odisha, Chief Secretary and other senior officials of the Govt. of Odisha and apprised about the present status of the company.
NINL is an example of successful joint venture of Central Govt. PSUs and State Govt. PSUs. Shri Ved Prakash apprised the CM that despite the weak steel scenario, NINL has been running uninterruptedly where many steel players are facing closing down. With the steel scenario growing up, NINL has plans for the turnaround of the company
With the completion of Blast Furnace Capital Repair, operationalisation of the 110 Million Ton captive mines and full capacity utilization of the Steel Melting Shop, NINL will have a potential future of becoming one of the leading producers of steel in the state.
