Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday announced a new scheme for craftsmen named ‘Mukhya Mantri Karigar Sahayata Yojana’.
Under the scheme, senior craftsmen having less than Rs 1 lakh annual income will get a monthly allowance of Rs 800. Similarly, craftsmen above the age of 80 years will get Rs 1000 monthly allowance.The Directorate of handicrafts will function as the nodal department of the scheme. Craftsmen who have worked for at least 10 years are eligible for the benefits.
