Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patanik has directed Chief Secretary, SRC to make all preparatory actions for minimising adverse impacts of the impending cyclone. CM Naveen Patanik has further advised all Depts to work closely with Dist admin in ensuring prior actions including that required for evacuation if any. Shelters with appropriate facilities be identified. CM Naveen Patanik advised pre-positioning of ODRAF, NDRF, Odisha Fire in districts likely to be impacted. Odisha Police to remain in complete readiness. Chief Secretary will review from time to time.
Odisha Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy chairs a high-level meeting to review preparedness for cyclone Amphan. Chief Secretary reviewed preparedness of all departments and districts on the impending cyclone which may develop from the current Low pressure in South Bay of Bengal. Dist Admin, all Dept ready for any eventualities. Will take appropriate action with IMD advice.
Odisha’s efforts in tackling natural disasters like cyclone have been lauded at international stage, so irrespective of IMD forecast on landfall, everybody should stay fully prepared for worst situation said State Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy to district Collectors & senior officials.
