Report by Kahnu Nanda; Jagatsinghpur : Leaders across political spectrum, people from each walk of life, few ministers, MP, MLAs, former MPs and BJD leaders were converged at Sanskruti Bhawan here and condoled the death of MLA Bishnu Das.
Local civic body organized the remembrance meeting chaired by MLA Prasanta Muduli , late Das’s close aid ex Minister and legislator Devi Mishra inaugurated the commemoration gathering. Speakers addressing the meeting discussed late Das manifold carrier activities and endorsed the state has lost a brilliant Dalit leader, late Das had a distinguished carrier in public life, and he possessed a pleasant personality that had endeared one and all.
Leaders cutting across party affiliations reiterated several unforgettable memories with late Das in past three decades. He had made commendable efforts for development of Jagatsinghpur, by his sincere endeavor Jagatsinghpur had accorded district in the year 1993, speakers added.
Ministers as Pratap Jena, Raghunanda Das, MP Dr Rajashree Mallick, Ex MPs Kulamani Samal, Bibhuprasad Tarai, state women commission chairperson Minati Behera, district BJP president Satyabrata Mohapatra, district Congress head Natabar Barik, few ex ministers, a dozen of former MLAs, district BJD leaders, lawyers, scribes, common citizens were participated in the remembrance meeting, had been organized with ongoing Covid guidelines strictly.
