Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary SC Mahapatra visited Bargarh district and looked into the field level progress of various developmental projects. Mahaptra visited Gangadhar Meher Mega Lift irrigation project & Mega Pipe Water Supply Scheme at Sikridhi.
Reviewing the field level progress, Mahapatra directed the engineers and officers to complete the work of both the mega lift irrigation and pipe drinking water supply schemes within a year. Mahaptra emphasized on maintenance of quality in construction of the projects.
He also set timelines for different phases of the projects, and directed the executing agencies to follow the timeline strictly. GM Megalift Irrigation Project will irrigate more than 30,000 hects in 122 villages of Sohela, Bijepur and Barpali Blocks.
