Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik disbursed Medhabruti scholarships to 35, 490 students

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik disbursed Medhabruti scholarships to 35, 490 students, Bhasabruti scholarship for excellence in Odia language to 3,549 students and laptops to meritorious plus-two students as promised during the launch of #MoSchool programme last year. He also felicitated students who topped in matriculation as well as their schools, parents and teachers. Each of the meritorious students will get a #Medhabruti scholarship of ₹5,000, #Bhasabruti scholarship of ₹5,000 while 1,061 schools which did well in matriculation will get ₹1 lakh each.

Besides, Patnaik also gave away the Mukhyamantri Medha Brutti (merit scholarship) to 35,490 meritorious students. Moreover, 1061 schools were given the Utkrusta Vidyalaya Proschahana Puraskar in recognition of their efforts to encourage Odia language among the students.The scheme is a Scholarship for Excellence in Odia Language in School. Cash Rewards of Rs 5,000 each for best performance in Odia subject in Class X exams. 10 Students from every block in the state, will be eligible for this award.
