Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announces Rs 155 crore package for development of Balasore town

Balasore: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reiterating his commitment to take up the overall development of Balasore Municipality, announced development projects worth ₹155 Cr. While making the announcement for the 1st phase, Hon’ble Chief Minister assured that the projects will be taken up on priority.

Chief Minister said that the projects include development of Sahadevkunta Bus Stand at a cost of ₹8 Cr, development of road from Tamulia gate flyover to Station Chhak including 6 laning, street lighting and major roads in the Balasore Municipality at a cost of ₹70 Cr.

Chief Minister said that sports infrastructure will be developed at a cost of ₹14 Cr and ₹53 Cr will be spent towards protection and beautification works of Budhabalanga River bank to provide professional coaching and top class infrastructure for budding sportspersons.

Chief Minister said that the development of drainage, roads and water bodies to be taken up by Balasore Municipality at the cost of ₹10 Cr. Hon’ble Chief Minister said that construction work of Teaching Hospital at Govt Medical College at the cost of ₹275 Cr and infra development activities at the cost of ₹16 Cr is already underway.
