#Odisha Cabinet nod to extend #lockdown till April 30, Cabinet approves 9 proposal

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Cabinet approves 9 proposal; Cabinet nod to extend lockdown for another fortnight. Odisha Govt writes to Centre requesting to extend  lockdown period for 15 days more .

“During ongoing lockdown period amid  COVID19 crisis, your discipline & sacrifice has provided us the strength to fight  coronavirus. We have decided to extend the lockdown period in Odisha till April 30,” says CM Naveen Patnaik. Odisha requests Union govt to stop rail & air communication till April 30. Odisha is the first state to extend lockdown period till April 30 in the country .

All educational institutions across Odisha to remain shut till June 17; decision taken at Cabinet meeting.

Cabinet meeting presided over by CM Naveen Patnaik. Five senior cabinet Ministers joined the meeting. This is the first meeting of the state cabinet through video conference.
