Bhubaneswar: Odisha cabinet today approves 11 proposals including GST Bill. The cabinet meeting which held under the chairmanship of CM Naveen Patnaik approves 11 proposals.
Cabinet approves GST Bill; applicable on all goods barring 6 which includes 5 petroleum products. Odisha cabinet approves proposal for procurement of ‘Moong Dal’ at Rs 52.25/Kg through Markfed; govt to incur Rs 2 cr on VAT waiver. Odisha cabinet revises minimum qualification for appointment of VAW to Plus-II from Matric.
Power tariff for Captive Power Plants increased to 55 paise from 23 paise/unit proposal approved by Odisha cabinet; govt to earn Rs 875 cr additional revenue.

Cabinet nodded a proposal to amend some OTE and TS Cadre rules in order to bring more talented candidates by direct recruitment to the posts of Lecturers in Government engineering, schools and polytechnics through the OPSC.
