Odisha: BJP State executive meeting started in Baripada; Bijay Mahapatra, Dilip Ray absent

Bhubaneswar: BJP State executive meeting started in Baripada. On the first day of its two-day State executive meeting here party gave a slogan of “New India, New Odisha” and vowed to build a new, strong, resurgent and vibrant Odisha, once it is voted to power in the State.
The meeting chaired by BJP State president Basant Panda was attended by the party’s senior leaders like Arun Singh, Saudan Singh, Suresh Pujari, KV Singh Deo, Sarada Prasad Satpathy, Manmohan Samal, among others.
Party also passed political resolutions on Saturday evening. Party renewed its commitment to building an Odisha, where every village and every home shall have all types of basic and modern amenities like housing, electricity, pure drinking water, toilets and easy access to health and education. The saffron party also emphasized on the proper utilization of Jan-dhan, Jal-dhan and van-dhan (human resources, water resources and forest resources) to bring about the desirable development of the State.
party strongly criticised the BJD Government for what it called its misrule, inefficiency and incompetence. The resolution also slammed the BJD for its “vindictive attitude” in the case of Parvati Sasmal, the helpless lady from Ersama of Jagatsinghpur district, who after approaching PM Modi for redressing her grievance, is being tortured by the BJD goons. In the third resolution, the party thanked the people of Odisha for their tremendous support as was witnessed in the recently-held panchayat polls as well as during Modi’s recent visit to the State.
