Bhubaneswar: BJP launches campaign poster & cassette at the State party headquarters in Bhubaneswar.
Posters and music CDs were launched by the party’s senior leaders like Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, national vice-president Baijayant Panda, State in-charge Arun Singh, Biswa Bhusan Harichandan, Sameer Mohanty, Damodar Rout and Golak Mohapatra at the party’s State headquarters here.
Meanwhile, a 4.16-minute poll campaign music video, released on the day, put the party in trouble as it apparently promotes a Central Government scheme in way of ‘surrogate advertising’, in violation of Model Code of Conduct.
The video shows a woman using an LPG connection with ‘UJJWALA’ embossed on it. Besides, the lyrics also clearly mention the name of the Centrally-sponsored scheme.
In another development, Ollywood actor Bidusmita Mantry joined the saffron party in presence of the senior leaders. The BJP has fielded Bidusmita’s husband Ananta Dash to fight elections from the Balangir Assembly seat.
