Bhubaneswar: The BJP on Wednesday formed managing committees for the Baleswar Sadar and Tirtol Assembly by-elections scheduled to be held on November 3.Following a directive issued by the BJP State president Samir Mohanty, the party’s State unit named the leaders of a 16-member managing committee for Baleswar Sadar. Union Minister Pratap Sarangi would head the committee, a statement issued by party State general secretary Golak Mohapatra said.
Similarly, a 23-member managing committee was formed for the Tirtol by-poll. Party State general secretary Prithviraj Harichandan would lead the committee.The by-polls are necessitated in Baleswar Sadar and Tirtol following the death of BJP MLA Manmohan Dutta and BJD MLA Bishnu Charan Das, respectively.
