Bhadrak: Bhadrak Collector Gyana Ranjan Das on Thursday submitted the damage assessment report to the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) Central, Atal Bihari Ota.
Properties worth Rs9 crore, including 10 houses and around 450 business establishments, were damaged during the communal violence that recently erupted in Bhadrak town, a report of the district Collector said.
It should be noted that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had ordered officials for assessment of the damages during the unrest for announcement of compensation to the affected people. The district administration on Thursday relaxed the curfew in the town for 14 hours from 6 am to 8 pm.
