Bhubaneswar: Youth voluntary organization of Odisha, WE4YOU have received RASHTRIYA SWAYAMSIDH SAMMAN on 3rd August, at Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi organised by JSPL FOUNDATION.
This was the 2nd edition of the award ceremony . 12 individuals & 9 voluntary organizations who have done outstanding work in their field, have received this award from all over India.
Central Minister of Steel, Sj Birender Singh was the Chief Guest for the evening. Chief of OP JINDAL group Smt Savitri Jindal , Chairman of JSPL , Sj Navin Jindal & President of JSPL FOUNDATION , Smt Shallu Jindal was also present to felicitate the selected people.
There were categories like Education, Social Service, Women empowerment, Entrepreneurship & Livelihood, Agriculture etc from which the Jury committee have chosen 21 names.
WE4YOU have received this award for EDUCATION category , for their outstanding effort to solve education related issues of blind Students. WE4YOU people are developing AUDIOBOOKS of all text books in different Indian languages & distributing it across India in free of cost. Blind Students listen to these AUDIOBOOKs & study. This is an unique initiative by WE4YOU which is helping more than 25000 blind students per year.
Rutupurna Mohanty of Odisha also bags an award for woman empowerment category & Vikash Das bags an award for agriculture.
