Odisha: ATM looter racket unearthed, King pin arrested from Jhadakhand

Report by Kahnu Nanda; Jagatsinghpur: An ATM looter racket unearthed and its king pin Dhiraj Kumar Gupta a fraudulent from Jhadakhanda state was arrested by Tirtol police on Saturday, informed police.
Report said that one Kajal Pradhan hailing from Teramanpur village under Tirtol area had lodged a complaint with police that Rs 34, 700 had been withdrawn from her bank account fraudulently. Giving clues to police the victim woman Kajal hinted cops that on August 12 one anonymous mobile call asked her to give ATM details including One Time Password [OTP] , the caller himself told that he was an ATM relation manager from Mumbai working for the ATM providing Bank .. Relying caller the gullible woman corroborated her bank details surprisingly after two days Rs 34, 700 withdrawn from account. The victim woman had lodged an FIR with Tirtol police station on August 18 narrating difficulty.
Acting on the complaint police had launched a haunt basing on bank information’s found that the withdrawn money had utilized for on line purchasing in Jhadakhand as result a police team had moved to Jhadakhanda and begun investigation. The cyber cops from Jhadakhanda informed visiting Odisha police that the online purchase has been made in Deoghar district so taking clues visiting Odisha police had raided a house in Margomunda village in Deoghar district and picked up a man Dhiraj Kumar Gupta and his three associates fled from the spot.
After performing legal formalities at Deoghar court visiting Tirtol police brought the accused to Odisha on Saturday and forwarded to court, informed Tirtol police station IIC Balaram Nayak, meanwhile IIC said the accused would be taken in to police remand for further investigation.
