Sambalpur: 5T Secretary VK Pandian on Friday made a surprise visit to the Sambalpur District Headquarters Hospital.
Accompanied by Development Commissioner Suresh Mohapatra and Health Secretary Pramod Meherda, Pandian first went to the Mother and Child Health Care Center (MCH) unit and discussed with the patients and attendants of the patients.
He held a review meeting with the doctors of the hospital in presence of Sambalpur district Collector Subham Saxena, there. Later, he visited the Gynecology and Surgery Wards and interacted with patients. He asked them about the quality of food and the services.
Pandian later visited the Niramaya counter on the premises of the hospital and discussed with the staff there besides asking them about the medicines, which are available in the counter for the patients.
